First off, I’d like to mention that this is not the type of book I usually read. This book was picked by my local book club. I do enjoy going outside of my comfort genres from time to time though. Unfortunately this was not one of those times.

This book was a very cute read. I loved the vibes and how it was written. Though, that’s where my praises end. It included a couple tropes I am personally not a big fan of, like miscommunication and insta-love. Because of the use of the insta-love trope, I felt like the main characters were mainly just physically attracted to each other and it took me a while to believe they had something genuine. Multiple times while I was reading this book I got so frustrated by the characters and the lack of communication. I wished they’d just TALK!

The mystery aspect was barely there, which was a bit disappointing. I get that the book mostly focused on romance, but that made me wonder why there even was a mystery.

Overall, this was not really an enjoyable read, but because I liked the way it was written and I could get through it pretty easily, I will rate it 2.5 stars, round up to 3 stars.
